Identity Change

In today's post 911 world, it has become evident that Identity change is the most effective measure by which offenders can escape detection. It is relatively easy for any person to obtain valid documents with different names. This simple identity change opens a major security breach that renders all known information technology solutions useless. These Identity changers will pass any security list simply because their new (or slightly altered) name is not on the list!

This has put Biometric technology in the front. Biometrics can simply be defined as the ability to identify a person from their physical characteristic. While its use has been widely simulated in movies as early as the 1970s, the reality of the various biometric technologies is far from that.

There are many biometric measures that can be collected (enrolled) from a person such as DNA, Iris, retina, fingerprint, face geometry, hand geometry and voice. Each has its own uses. However, we at IrisGuard Inc. have set out to locate a biometric that can meet the following important criteria:

Find one and only one person from a large list of enrolled people without using any tokens, cards or numbers, just by performing a one-to-many search.

Find that person in real-time (few seconds) even when the number of enrolled people is in the millions.

It is our belief that these criteria, if found in a biometric, will put an end to Identity Change.

Our findings on worldwide research have indicated that Iris Recognition Technology - IRT is the most suitable biometric for the above objectives. Our practical application of IRT, on the ground, has proven that our findings were correct indeed.
