IFA Brochure

In Our robust and tested Iris Farm Architecture - IFA was designed, built and tested to support national solutions where millions of persons need to be checked in real-time. Its scalability, ease of deployment and use makes it the perfect solution for countries seeking to secure their borders or track very large number of people through their Irises only.

Its infinite expandability offers countries the unique ability to scale-up their Iris solutions without fear of reaching any size or performance limits, while maintaining constant response-times throughout the deployment stages.

The main features of our IFA architecture are:

The splitting of the Iris database over unlimited number of Iris Engines - IEngines. This allows for unlimited scalability in handling large Iris databases without loss of performance.

The support of very slow communication links. Links as slow as 33.6 Kilo Bytes will enable an Iris Workstation to still fulfill real-time Iris recognition requests.

The automatic and unattended synchronization of enrolled Iris information from detached enrollment locations.

The uninterrupted search ability against the IFA during synchronization.

The use of separate hardware components for enrollment, central database and recognition functions. This maintains predictable performance and distributes the computing workload away from one focal point that can fail or could get overloaded.

The automatic backup procedures to secure the enrolled databases.

The automatic switching to the secondary IFA location. This offers fail-safe solutions for those critical Iris Workstation performing recognitions that just cannot go down even when the main IFA site is down.

The architecture allows the addition of hardware to support whichever response-time and database sizes the country needs for its deployment. Our solutions are carefully configured to meet needed performance criteria.
