Setting the iris recognition technology standards for innovation and quality

IrisGuard has been leading the world in iris recognition technology for more than 20 years. We are known for technical innovation, product quality and high standard of service.

Our R&D team has developed the most accurate camera systems in the world. These devices have been designed to operate in a variety of challenging environments and scenarios. Our integrated contactless biometrics technology is reliable 24/7, regardless of light conditions, access and connectivity.

Our products have exceeded all industry quality standards and are utilised by many academic and research institutions including the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST). NIST works with our EyeGuard® AD100 camera as the gold standard in iris recognition technology due to its image performance quality.

Secure and trusted

Biometric identification as a service

Biometrics technology is being rapidly adopted within a variety of applications and industries. We live in an increasingly digital world, driven ever more by the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, there is an evident and growing need to protect our identities as well as our entitlements and assets.

With an increasing reliance on digital verification of our identity, this can be a challenge for the 1.7 billion unbanked. They lack the sufficient credentials to meet the required KYC criteria and are unable to open traditional bank accounts, access financial assistance or Government services.

Iris recognition technology enables people to have a foundational and unique digital identity. As a result, they will benefit from financial inclusion and the opportunity to work or set up businesses; create a trail of financial transactions; build up a credit history, savings or pensions; and they will be able to contribute to the local communities they reside in.

Integrated biometric technology is a fast and convenient pathway to accessing services and funds. However, robust regulations and data protection safeguards must be in place for biometric identification to be used as an effective and secure service. It is imperative that an organisation responsible for the collection, storage and management of biometric data complies with all required GDPR and security protocols, policies and regulations.

Anonymised Data

The iris image collected during the onboarding process is transferred into a template and is used for cross matching purposes returning an anonymous identifier, which is controlled and stored by our clients.

Our biometric identification process is completely anonymised - data is gender and racially neutral. This empowers equality and digital inclusion whilst safeguarding citizens’ privacy and eliminating risks associated with identity theft.

IrisGuard’s devices hold no iris or personal data and therefore pose no risk to any data being lost, stolen or misused in any way.

Our clients retain the ownership and access to all biometric identification data collected, which is stored on their own servers.

Security Standards and Measures

We conform to current industry standards and have a number of patents covering encryption of both our hardware and software platforms. This ensures that data of our clients, as well as beneficiaries, has the highest protection and security. All our EyeCloud® products in their fixable, portable and embedded range are protected by the highest standards and are certified to ISO9001:2015 and ISO 27001 standards.

EyeCloud® packets are protected with an end-to-end encryption scheme which uses the latest industry-standard cryptographic algorithms.

Our EyePay® Phone has full compliance to PAD (Presentation Attack Detection) ISO 30107-3 Level 1 testing, performed independently by iBeta labs in the USA.
