‘EyeKnow’ what you are looking for: A new chapter in iris intelligence

When we launched IrisGuard in 2001, our vision was bold but always focused - to use the precision of the human iris to build a more secure, more dignified form of identity verification and identity protection. Now, over two decades later, that continues to enable everything from payments to financial inclusion for refugees, biometric border control and citizen and social protection services.

Today, we take the next step on our journey with the launch of ‘EyeKnow’. It is more than a traditional chatbot, it’s an interactive resource of our iris recognition knowledge gained over 20+ years leading in this field, ready to assist anyone from students to simply curious, to experienced technologists. This will give all who want a better understanding of what we do, how it benefits both our customers, and the end users - who rely on our technology to access crucial, live-saving assistance.

Timing is key. Everyone is busy. Attention spans are short. But true understanding of this technology needs context and clarity. We realised that many of our website visitors as well as prospective customers ask some great questions like “How is iris different from fingerprint or facial recognition?” and “What makes you unique?”

So, we wanted a way to make our answers available instantly, intuitively, and intelligently.

And that’s where EyeKnow comes in. EyeKnow knows what makes OUR systems uniquely powerful and is here to help those who are interested know too. It’s been trained specifically to provide feedback on our solutions, our technology stack and deployment models with 20+ years of proprietary insight that I and my team have accumulated in the field. It’s like having a conversation with me, or someone who’s worked here since day one.

It is not there to replace that team, or myself (just yet!), but it’s a great way to connect quickly before we have a chance to speak properly. It will be added to as we grow our technology and services, and we hope that you’ll enjoy being part of that journey.
